What We’ve Been Learning – Spring Week 10
This week we have been watching, listening to, reading, analysing and writing speeches. We have watched some fantastic speakers and we have learned how to use all the features of a great speech effectively. We have written about issues that we feel strongly about and have had some very interesting discussions. We are looking forward to hearing these speeches being delivered next week.
In maths we have been focusing on statistics. We have interpreted line graphs and used data to construct our own graphs.
During the afternoons we have been working in groups with children from all the other Year groups across Key Stage One and Two. We have taken part in a range of activities all on the theme of Kindness, and we have had a great week.
Things to try at home:
Ask your child about what they have been doing in Kindness Week. Can they remember what they have learned about properties of a circle? Next week we are launching Times Tables Rockstars so have a practice of all your tables – especially 7s, 8s and 12s.
