WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE AT SWISS GARDENS
At Swiss Gardens primary we work hard to ensure the children get a rounded, engaing and fullfilling curriculum. We want the children to succeed in all they do from our results in end of key stage tests, to having opportuntites to shine in sports, arts and the wider curriculum.
On this page you will see just how well our children do in academic subjects, competitions and sports as well as arts and local events.
END OF KEY STAGE ASSESSMENTS
At Swiss Gardens we know that children are more than a number and their success is measured in lots of ways other than the end of Keys stage tests. We really encourage the whole child. Having said that we want them to leave us with results that are comparable to their peers locally and nationally. However, our children perform in line with national test data. In some areas they perform better!
SPORTING SUCCESS
People sometimes perceive that because we have limited outside space, it holds us back, this couldn't be further than the truth. We use all the space we have extremely well. We have outside providers to enhance our children's opportuntities, we have B&HA in the community, Beefit and Twinkl experts to ensure our children achieve to a high level.
We have lots of opportunties for children to take part in sports clubs and they always participate in local events and school's competions. From Cross country, to football, from rounders to netball. We take part in everything.
the albion cup 2023
As the country prepared for the king's coronation, Swiss Gardens Primary School were celebrating a crowning of their own after winning the prestigious Albion Cup.
Swiss' unbeatable Year 3/4 mixed football team were record breakers at Premier League Brighton and Hove Albion's training ground after lifting the sought-after regional trophy without conceding a single goal.
The achievement means that the team are now ranked as the very best out of hundreds of Brighton, West and East Sussex schools who entered the tournament several months ago in the provisional rounds.

Year 5/6 Netball league
This year, we have increased the competitive opportunities our children can access. We are now participating in a locality league for netball, facing other school such as Glebe, St Nics & St Marys, Holmbush and Shoreham Beach. So far our team has been brilliant and have displayed some truly amazing netball skills, we have played two, won one and lost one, with an amazing 46 points scored and only 24 points conceeded.
Keep it up!
COMPETITIONS
We take part in lots of opportunities that are offered to us. We always try to enter any academic related compettions or activities that we think will test our children's resillience and give them the opportuntity to excel in an area of personal strength. We often participate in creative writing competitions also local art competitions , winning tickets to pantomimes and displaying our work in the art gallery and local shops.
In maths we always send groups of children to attend the maths challenges at Christ's Hospital and Windlesham school. We have generally done very well in these competitions. The children have a lot of fun, but are expected to work hard and show their maths problem solving and skill.
