Our Extended Services
At Swiss Gardens we offer a wide range of extended services to our children and parents as well as to the local community. We ensure that all our children and families have access to a number of services and facilities within the local area.
Activities & Clubs
At Swiss Gardens Primary our children are offered a broad range of activities including: sports, music and special interest clubs in order to extend their learning opportunities and skills. In most cases these activities take place either during the school day, or straight after school on our school site.
Help For Families
There are a number of different ways your family can find help.
- Search on the Family Service Directory (FSD).
- Search on the Local Offer for SEND information.
- Visit your local Children and Family Centre.
- Drop into your local FindItOut Centre.
- Talk to someone at your child’s school.
- Speak to your health visitor or midwife.
- Speak to your GP.
If you want help with a few things at the same time, a Early Help Plan will be put together with you by the professionals supporting you. This makes it easier to know what needs to happen and you can also see how much progress you are making.
This Plan is a simple way of gathering information and recording it to help you get back on your feet. Any actions will be agreed with you and your family so the right level of support is offered.
If more than one professional is supporting you and your family, one will act as the lead. They will keep you informed, listen to your views and support you. They will then feedback to other professionals and services that are providing ongoing support.
Early Help is all of our business. We believe that by focusing on the family as a whole and improving coordination of services, we can provide better support at the earliest opportunity to families that need it.
