Year 3 and 4 Football – the Albion Cup
A Year 3 / 4 football team played in the Albion Cup for Swiss Gardens Primary on Tuesday 3rd March. The team started the tournament brilliantly, winning 1-0 v Eastbrook, with the scorer Thomas. The next game we also won 1-0, with Harper scoring the goal v St Mary’s. Our next two games, we were up against very tough opposition and lost them both: 2-0 v Orchards and 1-0 v West Park. In our final group game, we won 3-0 v Georgian Gardens, two goals from Harper and one from Thomas. We were then through to the quarter finals, where we lost to the overall tournament winners. Well done to all of the team who played fantastically: Ruben and Nathan H made some great saves in goal; Harry and Harley solid in defence; Thomas, Ollie, Harper, Henry and Nathan P battling in midfield.
